Hi Guys!
This
week, we have been studying different tenses to describe the past.
This is the task I want you to do. Below, you will find a story starter. I need you to continue narrating the story in a short
post (around 50 words). Make sure you provide enough details so the next person can continue
narrating it. Don't lead it to an abrupt end! Remember many of your
classmates might still want to comment. We are all going to narrate ONE
nice story. Try to use the correct tenses to narrate it in past. Good luck! JMC.
*Paul was bored. It was halfway through the summer holidays and he was
fed up, so he decided to go exploring. He climbed up to the top of the stairs,
when he saw a door which had never been there before. He went in and in the
middle of the room was a strange purple box. It had a picture of a magic
wand on the front. He slowly lifted the lid, peeked underneath and saw something
which would change his life forever...

In the box there was... a note?.He thought his eyes were deceiving him, but he took the note anyway and read it. It said that the secret to have whatever you want was mentalize it and it will come true, that the real magic was in your head. Paul thought it was a joke, that just couldn't be posible. The note also said that to acept this power you had to follow some rules, and if you don't there will be serious consequences. The rules were...

4. He could not use the power to obtain easy money.
These rules were very complicated to expire.....
He could not believe that, for a moment he thought that it was a dream , he told himself : How could a box has amazing powers ? and he did not understand how the real magic could be in his head. ,but then he realized that it was true. He decided accept this power and follow the four rulers........

he first went to the playground and saw that a lot of children were playing but one girl was crying, he decided to go to ask her about the problem, she told him that everybody was playing together but she didn't have anybody to play. He decided to use, the power of his head and then .....

He had appeared many children around the girl who was crying, he was very pleased to see that the little girl was happy playing with their new friends. Paul still could not believe what happening, it all seemed very strange and difficult to explain. Who will believe this?

Suddenly, he remembered that in his family there was an uncle nobody wanted to visit, because everybody thought he was nuts. But, in the crazy situation he was living, said to himself: maybe he was not so mad, after all. Paul went over his Uncle Andrew's house and when finally told him what was happening, the old man said the words Paul would never forget: "Magic is not free, not even if you follow all the rules. Every good action you complete will have a cost".

ReplyDeleteif I had found some time in my life I would have a box magic used for something useful, magic is hard to find but, if you are lucky enough to have it should not waste it on silly things. What would you give your to use the box?

When Paul felt asleep he dreamt that Henry refused to answer the questions to Paul, instead of that, in Paul´s dream, Henry showed him a magic ball, inside of it they could see the consequences of the first good action Paul did; there were desperate parents looking for their children; pictures in every wall in the street with the faces of the children that Paul made appear in that playground; also there were many policies helping the parents; the disaster ocurred because the children disappeared from their house to appear in the playground. Henry said to Paul that it was only the begining so he had to be carefull about the wishes that he became true...

Paul woke up so desperate after that dream, he was sweating and his heart was beating too fast, sat in his bed and with his hand covering his face, Paul went to the bathroom and washed his face.."This is not happening" he said to himself, he couldn't think about anything else than in that weird dream. He didn't want anyone to get hurt, he just wanted to help everyone as much as he could, but for every good action there would always be a bad consequence, he didn't want to think about anything else so, he went to the bed and said "Tomorrow will be a better day" after closing his eyes to fall in a deep sleep.
