I think Robots are useful machines made by human beings to help and serve them. I agree with this statement “Robots will never be able to do everything that human beings can do” because a human being is neither a thing nor a machine. The difference between them is the life itself. A human being has a nervous system connected with a brain that governs all the movements that keep the human being alive. On the other side a Robot just obeys human orders, they are not alive, so they cannot do many things a Human can do.

I agree with this statement "Robots are the only real hope for the future of human beings" because we humans in the future will need the help of robots in various aspects such as: trips to the moon etc..

DeleteI agree with the statement 4: "I like robots better than I like human beings. I'd like to see a robot governing the world.". Because the humans are a complex organism, and we can be affected by our feelings; furthermore, the humans commonly feel sick, sad, tired. However, the robots are perfects machines, as a result, they don't have problems with feelings. As well the robots follow the 3 laws of Robotic, therefore, they to difference of humans, the robots can't hurt the humans, so a robot who governing the world attempt the human welfare.

ReplyDeleteFor one part I disagree and for another I agree with "Robots will never be able to do everything that human beings can do". If I say I disagree is because if it were true, technology wouldn't be developed potentially around the world, neither it wouldn't exists, because as we know robots are intelligent machines which are managed with advanced technology, and if they were not able to make everything we can make, in consequence, there would not be any support type in our daily life.
On the other hand, the fact that robots be intelligent machines, even many times more intelligent that the own human being, it doesn't mean that they have to make the whole work that a person naturally makes in life; because if the real life were by this way, there would not be any people in the earth able of developing their own activities for themselves and certainly they would become completely dependent of the technology.
In other words, I mean robots are usefull to support us to develop difficult things which were not in our reach.

ReplyDeleteRobots are too important machines, actually, they can do a lot of things that humang beings used to do in the past, they don't need to eat or to sleep, and that is a great adventage for them, but they can never be same than the humnag beings because they don't have feelings, they can not think with their personal autority, they can not work without supervision.
Robots can not never be like the humnags being, they have a lot of skills but they will not be as stronger and deciding than the humang because they do not have a stronger heart.

Also, robots are created for a purpose and satisfy their purpose instead the human often not serve their mission.
I believe that the prophecy will be fulfilled when the machine will control the world.
In other words, Robots will be very capable of governing and will be able to cope with crime.

I disagree with the statement: robots will never be able to do everything that human beings can do, because robots are very smart and its never will feel tired, instead the human can't work continuously. the humans work in shifts, in return a machine working 24 hours a day.

humans are limited in all but robots aren't restricted because are created with the purpose of endure what can't man.
The fear of man is that one day be displaced by the machine and these insurrection against man.
Finally I think that the humans have heart that not used it for the well of humanity, however robot don't have heart but have a brains that been used for the progress of the humanity.

I agree with the statement 3 "Many jobs - such as driving buses or trains, rubbish collection, cleaning the streets, looking after children, doing housework - could be done better by robots than by human beings." because robots in the case of looking after a children, wouldn't hurt any human, rather they would help them to develop more and better skills; and on the other cases of working they would be more punctual and organized. I think they would do those things without any problem.

I REALLY BELIEVE THIS STATEMENT ''ROBOTS ARE THE ONLY REAL HOPE FOR THE FUTURE OF HUMAN BEINGS''. BECAUSE, HUMAN BEINGS ALWAYS THINK NEGATIVELY AND FEAR FOR EVERYTHING. ON THE OTHER HAND, ROBOTS HAVE NO MISTAKES AND FEARS. Robots will never be able to do everything that human beings can do. I agree with these statement because I think that robots always will need a human being that modify its behavior, and obviously to make them. The robots can´t feel or have emotions, so they can't love like we do. They can't reproduce itself, so with robots the life will be in danger. In sum, there are some things that robots will never can do like us. because they aren't like us.

First, we aren't a "piece of equipment' and nor we will be that. Second, robots aren't perfect or efficient because they depend of an engineer (human being) to have their circuits to obey our orders. Finally, it isn't a battle between robots and human beings because we created them, so we made the perfection.

I don't agree with the statement that says: A human being is an inefficient piece of equipment; a robot is a perfect and efficient machine. I think that nobody is perfect even robots or human beings. Everybody knows that perfection is something we can't reach and as well as we are imperfect, our creations are imperfect, too. Likewise, on the book "I, Robot" we can see that robots are truly imperfect. They do many things wrong even human beings thought the opposite.They had problems with the "Three laws of Robotic" and sometimes like our dear Herbie, they get crazy. Therefore, we can't fully trust in robots, they are our creations, they can be better than us, but they are not perfect. In conclusion, robots are excellent workers and sometimes they work harder than human beings, but they are just like their MASTER..... IMPERFECT.

I agree with the statement three that says the robots can do many jobs better than the human beings such as: driving car. If a robot did it, the country wouldn´t have accidents. Cleaning streets. Today we would be suffering overall pollution. However I disagree with statement one that says: a human being is an inefficient piece of equipment; a robot is a perfect and efficient machine. A human being has the ability to build a robot and a robot has to obey humans because humans are its creators.

ReplyDeleteI AGREE WITH THE STATEMENTS “ROBOTS WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO EVERYTHING THAT HUMAN BEINGS CAN DO”. THE ROBOTS ARE SIMPLE MACHINES BUILT BY HUMAN BEING. I THINK THAT THE HUMAN BEING IS EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT TO CAN CREATE THIS TYPE OF ROBOTS, HOWEVER THEY HAVE FAILS SINCE ANYTHING IS PERFECT, FOR EXAMPLE: THEY DON’T HAVE FEELINGS, SO THEY DON’T FEEL PAIN AND EMOTION LIKE HUMANS. ReplyDeleteHowever, I think the statement "Robots will never Be Able to do everything that human beings can do" is more accurate because even a robot could replace us in tasks, but not in feelings, in the wonder of being able to feel the life as such, in our feelings, to breathe, to feel the pleasure of our own life cycle, that no one can replace him, the robots will be able to be useful tools very helpful but our replacement.

If a robot is designed to realize any of those jobs, there is a strong posibility that robots made those jobs with more efficiency than a human being, because they are cleaner, achievers, honest, responsible, obedient and with those features, they clearly could do a better job than a human being

That is true, maybe robots can do heavy activities which human beings can not do, but a robot does not have the ability of feeling and have compassion to others, so they can not resolve troubles about feelings, or at least they can not resolve easier than a human being.

I am completely disagree with that. Nobody and nothing is perfect in this world, because if human beings would be perfect, they would not have the necessity to create robots which make their activities. We all are imperfect and obviously our creations too.
Hi gamer, I agree with you in the 5th statement. It's true that robots can not have feelings even in this awesome book says that a robot called Herbie is able to know something about feelings. I don't think it can be a real because how could a peace of metal feel something or understand something about feelings. They can only imitate us or read about this in books, but remember that we never react in the same way. In conclusion, they will never be able to do it because only humans change the way they think.

Technically they are a support machine, robots could not fall in love with their motor skills are concrete and defined by a human mind. Man defines what robots can do. I think that humans are trying to create more robots to do their tasks because they don't want to do them. Therefore, in the future human beings will become lazier than now, they won't want to do their work, be someone in life, or do something to prove they are competent. That's the reason why I think they are not our only real hope. In my opinion, inventors must create things to improve humans skills instead of creating something that will cause wrong results in us. In conclusion, robots are really cool and they will continue helping us but only that. They are not our only real hope for the future but we are.

ReplyDeleteI totally disagree with the first statement "A human being is an inefficient piece of equipment; a robot is a perfect and efficient machine" because first at all, robots are equipments created by human beings, in such a way that, if humans didn't exist, there wouldn't sufficient intelligence and ability to create and produce robots. Robots can be sufficiently able to realice a billion of activities, but, without help of the human intelligence, it could lose the control of the order for the simple but certain reason that human is the main motor that handles the robot's brain.

DeleteI agree with the fact that " Robots will never be able to do everything that human being can do" because robots are just a piece of equipment who have made by humans and we are imperfect beings so we will never create something better than us in all possible ways. The reason of it is that we hav heart and soul. We have been created by our master,God, who has gave us the possibility to feel, to love, to live every second of our lifes, to experiment every moment of our live and feel blessed about it. For Example: we can change our position in a discussion becuase we can think about that but if a robot has a mission he never sleep until the mission finish, it could be bad and they don't stop until the mission finish. If they kill someone, that's would be such a terrible accident.
