Gerunds & Infinitives

Hi Guys!

This week, we have been studying different uses of gerunds and infinitives. This is the task I want you to do. Below, you will find a story starter and three verbs. I need you to continue narrating the story in a short post (around 50 words). You must use the verbs given plus a gerund, an infinitive or a verb in base form. The first person to post should leave 3 new verbs for the next person, and so on. Make sure you use the verbs from the lists provided and do not repeat them. Good luck! JMC.

  3. Then, one of them listened to a strange noise: What was that noise?... asked one of them. I don't know but I think it comes from the living room, answered the other one. They discussed trying to understand what was happening. They cared about not being alone in the house so they were planning to find a way to go out of the house, suddenly a child appeared. The child was mysterious. He had a disturbing and dark look. Gilmar Daniel Villamar González (can't stand, imagine, refuse).

    1. Suppose that they're the verbs (propose, decide , agree)
When Blake proposed to go into the house. Thomas didn´t answer fast so, his friend repeated the question and noticed that something was badly with him.
The fact was that Thomas was fearful. He thought "I can´t keep with this story in my head" And he decided to tell it. While Thomas was telling what could happen, Blake felt a bad vibe in the air. Both were scared when he finally said if they entered the house, they would die at the end...
Thomas agreed not to go in but also told him that he saw a boy like he described beside him when he just started to tell the story... (Cristina Gallardo need- confess to- report)

  10. Very well done! I am really impressed with, first, how well you used gerunds and infinitives; and, second, with your imagination and great creativity. You all helped create a very cool story, a little creepy, though. Nice job!
