Safe & Sound

Dear Students,

In this unit we have studied many aspects of safety, such as new vocabulary about safety hazards and language structures to express necessity and prohibition. Now, I want you to give me your opinion to these questions:

What are some things people should take with them if they have to evacuate their homes? What are some things they don’t have to take?
Take out your cell phones, tablets or laptops and in pairs post an answer. Give details and be
persuasive! JMC.

We shouldn't have to take with us cellphones, laptops, cameras, flammable liquids, frayed cords and cigarrettes because we are not going to use it and there won't be electricity, also we shouldn't have to take food that we need to cook in a stove because we are not going to have the time and a stove.

  3. Things that we have to take : canned food and a canned opener because this kind of food don't get damage easily. Bottle of water because that is important to be alive. Cellphone and money because with the cellphone we can call our family or friends to be sure that they are fine and money because with it we can get something that we need at the moment.
Things that we don't have to take: laptop and tv because those things are too heavy to carry with us. Not canned opened food because it can get damage easily. Pets because they need some things that we can not carry. Karina S. Michelle R. Luis A.

  6. They should take their children and their pets because they are the most important for them and a first-aid kit for any emergency or if someone is hurt. the only thing they have to think about is that they have to run.

They don't have to take their clothes, jewelry, food, and electronic things because those things are not necessary in an emergency. And they can buy that things again on the future because those are material things and they are not going to save our life.

  7. Good Nigth Teacher,

I think they should take their children, pets and some value things like some money, food, clothes that serves for their protection and sustein, because regrettably, this kind of misfortune happens at any time that nobody knows, and one has to improvise with the necessary to stay stable.
